Moving to Ireland young 2026

Your start in Ireland. Room, job, account.

Finding a room, getting your PPS number, registering your first job properly and applying with a CV Irish employers read: your start in Ireland, at a fixed price of €2,250.

Anyone who moves to Ireland young needs three things first: a room, a PPS number and a job. The three depend on each other, and that is exactly where newcomers lose their first weeks. This package puts them in the right order and gives you the documents that make people in Ireland take you seriously.

What is left of an Irish salary after tax, USC and PRSI is explained under salary and take-home pay, how the Irish job market reads applicants under working in Ireland.

What the price includes

For €2,250 you get everything the start needs. You add interview training, the rent tax credit and an account for your salary on the order form.

Included in the fee of €2,250

  • Your house-share application: an English roommate profile for Daft.ie that stands out from the crowd, and your references in English, ready to send
  • Your PPS number: documents checked and the right proof of address settled, even if you start out in a hostel or as a lodger; you submit the application from your own account
  • Your Revenue myAccount: your first job registered correctly, so that your first pay arrives with the right deductions; the account is in your name
  • Your Irish CV: your CV from home turned into an Irish CV: short, in English, with your achievements instead of lists of duties
  • Your Leap Card: the discounted card for young adults or students, application and photo prepared
  • Marc as your Ireland guide: he moved to Ireland with his wife and five children, and he lives there

Who the package is made for

For graduates starting out, professionals early in their careers, students and anyone moving to Ireland alone or as a couple and renting to begin with. At this stage of life almost everything runs through a room in a house share, and on Daft.ie your first message decides whether you are invited to a viewing.

The rental market is tight nationwide. What that means for your search is explained under renting.
